About

Sarah Wright

I work primarily as an Independent Occupational Therapist and Medical Herbalist running workshops, walks and other group sessions.  I also continue to work at Herts Ability undertaking Fitness to Drive Assessments, Driving Assessment for adaptations including high tech adaptations, Scooter and Wheelchair Assessments

Having worked in the NHS since 2001 I qualified in 2008 as an Occupational Therapist.   Prior to and since qualifying, I have gained experience in many areas from Neurological Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, In Patient Services, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health all of which have helped me to help those individuals whose journeys I have had the privilege of being a part of.

Tai Chi Qi Gong has always been an interest as I have always wondered how much power and energy can be placed through our limbs with the ease that such martial art practitioners undertake.  I had the good fortune to meet Rosemary Smith who is a Physiotherapist and Tai Chi instructor in 2008 and then refreshed my passion for this ancient art form with Debbie and Mark Gannon at the Shibashi Training Academy in 2018 and continue to study with them.

Herbal Medicine has been an interest since 1998 but as I did not have the finances to undertake  full time training at that time I instead went on my Aromatherapy journey.  My own mental health suffered in 2016 and from there I realised the importance of the Herbs and nature around us and once more embarked on a search for myself which led me to undertake the Heartwood Foundation Course in 2018 followed by my embarking on the route towards my Medicinal Herbalist training which I successfully completed in 2024.
